Predictors in the Swedish Counterterrorism Intervention Unit selection Process

This study examines the importance of physical and psychological predictors work sample performance within Swedish police Counterterrorism Intervention Assessment Selection (CTIAS) process (N = 160). CTIAS consists a 4-day prescreening (Phase 1) 10-day test 2). Applicants may withdraw freely or be stopped by board (if they do not fulfill requirement criteria) at any moment throughout Phases 1 2. The dependent variable was applicants being approved end Phase 1. Biserial correlations were used to determine relationships between predictors’ age, general mental ability, executive functions, personality, strength, coordination, running capacity variable. Significant (p < 0.01) results in biserial strength (r 0.217), coordination 0.223), 0.412). In conclusion, logistic regression analysis with all revealed that only (2800 meters) significant for approval CTIAS. Implications practical selection are discussed, suggestions future investigation proposed. Public significance statement: current examined tactical unit Police Authority.
